HOTEL ACCOMMODATION

Guest rooms for conference participants have been reserved at the Holiday Inn Vancouver Downtown at 1110 Howe Street.

The Consulate General of Sweden will cover three nights in shared double-occupancy guest rooms for participating university teachers and graduate students, with check-in on October 23 and check-out on October 26. Those wishing to stay in a single room of their own will be invoiced for the price difference between single and double occupancy ($55 CAD per night). Any additional nights before or after the conference will be the participant's own responsibility and should be booked separately.

Qualified adult education instructors and other non-university teachers may register for the conference and reserve rooms through the Consulate General of Sweden, but will be expected to cover their own hotel costs.

TRAVEL EXPENSES

Graduate students who are unable to obtain departmental funding can apply for up to $450 toward reimbursement of travel expenses at the conclusion of the conference.  The Consulate General of Sweden may also reimburse up to $150 in travel expenses for university professors/lecturers. 

Taxi fares and travel to/from airports will not be reimbursed.

PERSONAL CONTRIBUTIONS AND COMMENTS


The conference is based largely upon active participation and discussion.  The aim is to facilitate a support network and a vital exchange of ideas, suggestions and experiences.  To this end, participants are expected to contribute by sharing and relating anything from small classroom tips to experiences with larger projects and initiatives.
